Dear (insert your name here),
The aluminum tins that I use for my cahhhndles (candles) have been treated with a protective coating to help prevent the metal from reacting with fragrance oils.
Since most of the oils I use contain high levels of essential oils, there are some that will cause the cahhhndle to have a “rusty” look to it over time. This is very common with oils that contain citrus, cinnamon, and vanilla.
I can assure you that it is not rust, and more importantly: it is non-toxic!!!
As of now, there are no candle tins available (and that are made) in the United States that are susceptible to this. Once I find one, I can assure you that I WILL make the switch.
The only rusted tin that I like is on the roof of the Love Shack...and I hope you do too!
Love,
Dahhhn
